Do you know the signs of a concussion??

In January 2012, the Nebraska State Legislature passed into law (effective 7/1/12), the Concussion Awareness Act. What this means for the organization and the coaches (Head Coach, Asst. Coach, Business Manager, anyone engaged in the coaching or assisting in coaches of our players) is that you must take a 20 minute course on the computer to help you identify the signs and symptoms of a concussion and what to do if a player is suspected to have one, and once completed, print the certificate and GIVE TO A BOARD MEMBER before stepping foot on any playing field, effective 7/1/12. You as coaches now have the responsibility to know this information and follow the guidelines for suspected concussions. You will not be allowed to coach if you have not completed the course.

Below are online training courses designed to recognize the signs of concussions. Each course takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and you only need to complete one listed below. Upon completion you will be able to print out a certificate of completion. This certification needs to be completed every year.
